The 2026 Australian-Grown Innovation (AGI) Build Program can help you test, refine and turn that idea into a practical solution.
The free 12-week program gives growers with promising ideas the support, expertise and industry connections they need to test, refine and develop their solutions.
Delivered by Startupbootcamp and supported through Hort Innovation Frontiers, the program is designed for horticulture, with a focus on turning grower-led ideas into practical products and services that address industry challenges.
Through the Build Program, growers can:
test their idea through pilots and trials with industry partners
refine their solution with support from mentors, growers and industry experts
find out if it works in the market through market validation
build industry connections and access new opportunities
prepare their solution for market and potential industry adoption
Ideas can address a range of challenges facing horticulture, including climate resilience and supply chains.
The Build Program is the final stage of the Australian-Grown Innovation pathway, following Engage and Incubate. It helps promising ideas move from development into real-world testing, with a clear pathway towards commercialisation.
The Australian-Grown Innovation initiative runs from 2025 to 2030 and is focused on supporting grower-led innovation across Australian horticulture.
