Alina Sedmak

With over 20 years’ experience, Alina has a broad knowledge in both legal and finance matters, having previously worked as a lawyer and an accountant in a number of top tier firms, as well as in the finance teams in a number of listed companies and a member organisation. Alina holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting), Bachelor of Laws as well as a Master of Laws (Taxation) from the University of Sydney. Alina holds a current Australian Practicing Certificate from the Law Society of New South Wales, and is also a fellow at the Tax Institute. Originally appointed to the GIA board of directors, Alina resigned this position to take up the role of Chief Operating Officer. She was appointed as GIA’s Company Secretary on 12 July 2023.
