John McDonald

John has more than 35 years’ experience in production horticulture, the past 29 in nursery production, at state and national levels addressing industry development, plant protection, biosecurity, industry policy, Research, Development and Extension. John has developed and/or overseen the development of the programs under the Australian Plant Production Standard including NIASA and the specifications, EcoHort plus the nationally approved BioSecure HACCP program, negotiating market access privileges for certified growers across Australia. Currently managing the industry levy funded National Biosecurity and Sustainable Plant Production program.
