Sean Cole

Sean Cole joined GIA as its CEO in January 2026.

Sean is a seasoned executive and passionate advocate for Australian growers, as well as the supply chain partners who support them. He brings deep commercial experience and extensive knowledge across the full agricultural value chain, from production through to customer, spanning multiple primary industries including viticulture, citrus, dairy, grain, and livestock. His leadership has consistently focused on representing member interests, driving sectoral reform, and ensuring prosperity for Australian producers and their partners.

Originally from South Australia, Sean holds a Bachelor of Economics from the University of Adelaide and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD). He has actively contributed to industry leadership and governance through service on various boards and committees, further strengthening his reputation as a trusted representative and strategic leader.
