Stuart Burns

Stuart has over 20 years of experience working in horticulture, including research, media, teaching and consultancy. More recently Stuart has been involved with the education of our industry’s apprentices. Stuart holds tertiary qualifications in horticulture, education, and small business management. He comes to us with a network across the VIC nursery industry through his role as a horticulture lecturer at Melbourne University and TAFE VIC and as an active horticulture consultant.

Stuart partners with growers via the levy-funded extension program to implement systems that improve plant production, environmental management and biosecurity. He provides hands-on advice on integrated pest management, irrigation planning and recycling, and smarter use of pesticides – all helping nurseries achieve healthier crops and stronger bottom lines.
